Application Engineers

Darrell Smith joined the VMC Technologies team in 2003.  Darrell came to VMC Technologies with nearly 20 years of CNC machining experience in both production machining and Mold and Die.  He has been essential in helping our customers increase their productivity while reducing their manufacturing costs.  Specializing in High Speed machining in Mold and Die applications, his strong knowledge of various CAD-CAM software such as WorkNC, Powermill, MasterCam, Virtual Gibbs and his skills in the application of high speed cutting techniques add to the value of a new Fadal purchase from VMC Technologies.  In addition, his experience with Fadal, Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Selca and Meldas controls allows him to communicate and train all levels of CNC operators.  You can reach Darrell at (248)786-3000 Ext. 200.

In 2005, VMC was happy to welcome Doug Michael to our Training & Applications department. Doug has over 8 years of experience with Fadals in a job shop environment, including setup, programming and prototype work.  His proficiency in GibbsCAM and G-Code programming along with continuous cross-training make him a valuable asset to our customers.
