Fadal 6535-40T – Fadal CNC MP Series

Large Work Envelope

MAG Fadal VMC 6535 40 Taper machine has X, Y, Z axis travels of 65″ (1650mm) x 35″ (890mm) x 34″ (1650 x 890 x 863mm).

Dynamic Stability
This machine is built with a massive amount of cast iron with large box ways for maximum dynamic stability for aggressive metal cutting applications.

Four Box Way Bed
Box way construction on all three axes provides the rigidity and vibration dampening needed for heavy cutting at extreme axis travels. Because of larger X & Y axis travels, the base was engineered to support large, heavy part applications. Reserve support is provided on the expansive base when needed with a four-box way bed.

Robust Axis Drive System
Large 63 mm diameter ball screws, large motors and a conservative lead pitch gives over 5,000 pounds of axis thrust per axis while maintianing high rapid traverse rates of 900 inches per minute.

Spindle Drive Systems
The 6535 can be configured with a 10,000 rpm 40 taper or a 7,500 rpm 50 taper spindle drive system. The 40 taper VMC is just over 28,000 lbs. and the 50 taper configuration just over 32,000 lbs.

Vector Drive
A leading-edge AC Vector Drive system with a high torque 22.5 HP* spindle motor delivers 220 ft/lbs. of peak torque and maintains consistent torque over the full RPM range from 10-10,000 RPM with closed loop feedback.

Two Speed Spindle Drive System
The automatic two-speed spindle drive system features a mechanical, two-speed gearless system that delivers higher performance at a wider range of RPM, which results in reduced noise, heat, vibration and power loss associated with gear boxes.

VTC Series

The new VTC Series combines the traditional power, rigidity and versatility of our
vertical turning center design with increased capacity, a flexible tooling system
and a choice of high-performance controls. The open workzone and wide access to
the part area facilitates operation and loading of parts. Rapid traverse rates on
the new VTC series reduce cycle times. The six models available offer a wide range
of machining capability and productive features.

WedgeLock Tooling System with 33,000 lbs of clamping force produces a rigid
connection between holder and the ram for heavy-duty metalcutting. The WedgeLock
system accepts standard modular tooling.

SIEMENS or FANUC controls. All of our models in the VTC Series offer a choice
of Siemens 840D or GE Fanuc 160i control.

Hydrostatic Ram with high dynamic stiffness and superior damping enables
precise, heavy cuts.

Fadal 8030 – Fadal CNC MP Series

Fadal MP Series - VMC 8030

Fadal 8030 VMC is suitable for large and long part producers. Fadal Machinists can rough-out material fast then execute final passes for smooth and accurate finish parts.

The work envelope is 80”(2,032 mm) x 30” (762mm) x 30” (762mm) in X, Y and Z axes. Optional extended Z travels are available should your applications demand.

Large, Long Parts

Large and long parts are easily loaded onto the table from the front or side doors of this agile 17,000-pound (7,711kg) VMC.

10,000 RPM, 22.5 HP Spindle

A standard 10,000 RPM 24.1 HP* (18kW) spindle with automatic mechanical HI/LO shifting delivers a wide range of impressive metal cutting power.

Box Way Construction

Box way construction is utilized to provide the needed vibration dampening when high torque cutting is done at low spindle speeds or high horsepower cutting is done at high spindle speeds.

21 Station Tool Changer

A 21 station automatic tool changer is standard with an option of 30 tools, while a Servo Turret for faster tool changing of non-sequential tools can be placed on either configuration.

Fadal MP Series - Fadal 6030- Fadal VMC

The MAG Fadal 6030 VMC provides additional work space for large parts.

The cutting envelope of this machine is 60” (1,524mm) x 30” (762mm) x 30” (762mm) for axes X, Y and Z and easily allows larger 4 and 5 axes rotary tables to function within the spacious machining cube. Deep molds are a popular application for this machine and if needed, extended Z options are available.

10,000 RPM, 22.5 HP Spindle

The Fadal 6030 VMC has a standard 10,000 RPM 24.1 HP* (18kW*) spindle with automatic mechanical HI/LO shifting for heavy aggressive cutting of steel and aluminum.

21 Station Tool Changer

A 21 station automatic tool changer is standard with an option of 30 tools. A Servo Turret for faster tool changing of non-sequential tools can be placed on either configuration.

Heavy Duty Cast Iron Box Ways

The machine weight is 17,000 lbs. (7, 711 kg) and is constructed of cast iron box ways on all three axes.

Fadal 4020- Fadal CNC MP Series

Fadal MP Series - VMC 4020

The Fadal 4020 is our most popular VMC. It provides a wide power range for job shop metal cutting flexibility. The Fadal 4020 is designed with flame hardened integrated box way construction, Steinmeyer ETA+ dual mounted ball screws and spindle speeds ranges 8,000 to 10,000 RPM. This machine is ideal for job shops, mold/die and other mid-range parts producers.

40”x20”x20” Envelope

X/Y/Z axes travel on the Fadal 4020 is 40” (1,016mm) X 20” (508mm) X 20” (508mm). Rapid Travel rate is 1,000 inch/min (25.4 m/min).

VMC 4020 comes with two available control options, Fadal GE Fanuc Oi-MC control or Fadal MP CNC control. With these choices MAG Fadal provides a complete package to meet our customers’ ever changing machine requirements.
